Event Details

Today, the Georgetown Club of Spain hold another meeting of the Leadership Series about Perspectives on Talent and Competitiveness in Spain. We had an exclusive breakfast with Rafael Matesanz, founder of the National Transplants Organization and designer of the national transplants model, which has been the number one in number of organs donated for more than 30 years overcoming models such as the US model.

Rafael shared with us some of this best leadership and career advice on a life-time of experiences, giving us invaluable insights on how he ideated our national model from the very beginning, taking an incredible journey from a very basic stage to the most advanced position in the world, doubling in numbers the transplants made from the rest of the European countries.

Our transplant model unites all the Spanish provinces independent of their governing political party and it includes a very well designed system of health facilities with top doctors and sensible professionals capable of reaching those affected families so that their will is to share the organs of their closest ones to others in need.

It was a real privilege for all attendants who have had the opportunity to make questions in a very easy-going environment with one the most prominent global health professionals in history.
